Coworking members now have access to enhanced offerings and over 6,000 flexible workspaces worldwide, including 17 St. Louis metro area locations
ST. CHARLES, MO, UNITED STATES, September 17, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — The Commons, a locally owned coworking, fitness, events and media organization in New Town at St. Charles, has entered a Managed Partnership Agreement with International Workplace Group (IWG), rebranding its coworking operation as HQ at The Commons. IWG will hire a community associate and assume day-to-day management of the coworking operations. The move marks the first IWG-affiliated location in St. Charles County, giving members access to 17 flexible workspace locations across the St. Louis metro area.
Founded in 1989 as Regus, IWG has grown into the world’s leading provider of flexible workspace solutions, supporting more than 8 million users across over 6,000 locations in more than 120 countries and serving 83% of Fortune 500 companies. Within its multi-brand portfolio, HQ is IWG’s practical, no-fuss workspace offering, built for large and small businesses to entrepreneurs, with a network of metro and suburban locations that enables people to work closer to home, supporting greater employee productivity and work-life balance.
The rebrand comes as Commons Group continues to grow its broader portfolio, including the ongoing transformation of Shire Lane Estate into a year-round luxury event and hospitality destination, the expansion of NTx Connect as New Town’s hyper-local media platform, Commons Foundation non-profit, and Commons Invest, a Regulation Crowdfunding real estate offering that supports continued community development.
“This partnership gives us the best of both worlds,” said Paul Dinkins, who remains owner of Commons Group. “HQ brings the reach, resources and experience of a global workspace company, while we remain deeply rooted in New Town and Saint Charles. Our members gain some meaningful new benefits, including access to meeting rooms and offices across the country, and our team gains more capacity to invest our time and energy in the community we call home.”
Driven by the long-term shift to more flexible ways of working, IWG is expanding its network in Missouri to keep pace with the rising demand for flexible workspaces. This includes its latest center opening in Saint Charles, featuring private offices, meeting rooms, coworking and creative spaces, as well as IWG’s Design Your Own Office service, which allows companies to customize their workspace to meet their specific needs.
“IWG’s flexible model is designed to serve the needs of each local community, while our global network gives workers access to a range of spaces and the freedom to work wherever best suits their needs,” said Margaret Heath, Area Manager for IWG. “Members will have immediate access to 17 workspaces across St. Louis, as well as over 2,000 locations across the U.S., offering the flexibility to work from city or suburban locations closer to home, reducing commute times and giving valuable time back to workers.”
What’s New & How Members Benefit:
• Access to 17 St. Louis-Area Locations: Members can now use any of the 17 IWG-affiliated workspaces across the St. Louis metro area.
• Global Network Access: Membership extends to more than 6,000 professional workspaces, private offices, desks, and meeting rooms in major business districts and transit hubs worldwide.
• New Member Portal: The Commons is transitioning to the HQ (IWG) platform for streamlined bookings, billing, and member services.
• Meeting Room Discount Model: A new flexible, discount-based model for booking meeting rooms.
• New Event Space Booking Platform: A new booking platform launching on NTx Connect for the Courtyard, Fusion Room, Shire Lane Estate, and additional venues to come.
All current member agreements for The Commons will be honored. The partnership is designed to be a seamless transition for the community that has built The Commons into a hub for coworking, events, and connection in New Town.
